The hike up to the falls at Maunawili is one of my favorite. Perfume ginger, awapuhi, bamboo and banyan trees all line the riverbed as it meanders down the valley. The valley receives quite a bit of rain and the wet ferns and banana trees brush against you as you hike giving you a small preview of the sensation that awaits you diving into the pool.
